A portfolio of photographs that spans five years, metaphors depicts images of female archetypes that have ancient roots and manifest themselves in our present everyday lives. The use of selective focus allows the viewer to experience many distinct figures as similar and even familiar images.

These figures, through the representative style, essentially become “one woman.” The visual effect is meant to heighten a sense of personal and emotional connection to every woman.
